Breakfast is in the Lodge tent where we practice yoga. Lunch and 2-course Dinner are at the Restaurant Woodz. Let us know if you have any special dietary needs.
Retreat Plan
Thursday
Arrive from 15:00. Location is Buitenplaats Beekhuizen, Bovenallee 1, 6881 AJ Velp (Gelderland), NL
If you arrive by train, let us know your times and we’ll pick you up.
Arriving and settling in.
17:30 – 18:45: Meeting for yoga at lodge tent (vergaderlodge) Yoga (meditation, reflections, restorative yoga). Introductions.
– Gentle yoga practice. Reflections by answering 3 questions (privately in journal) to see what ‘spiritual’ ground you stand on now.
– Yoga Nidra (deep guided relaxation) to find your Sankalpa: heart-felt intention.
19:00 – 20:30 Dinner at forest restaurant ‘Woodz’.
Retire to your private luxury wooden pods for the night.
Friday
8:30 – 10:oo Yoga in lodge tent (vergaderlodge) Morning yoga. Set intention. – Hatha Flow for strength, stability and balance (Guided by Hans with Natasha). – Practice Sthimitam breathing to investigate our energetic space. (Guided by Natasha). Introduction to Shinrin Yoku and reflections on connection with nature – Write or draw insights in journal.
10:15 – 10:45/ 11:00 Light breakfast of fruit, cereals at vergaderlodge (on terrace outside!)
11:15 – 13:00 Forest bathing (Shinrin Yoku)
(depending on weather, can be moved to after lunch) with Natasha. Note: Forest bathing is more about connecting wtih nature in a mindful way, not actually ‘bathing’ in water, but experiencing, through all our senses, nature, plants and animals and how they interplay with us.
13:15 – 14:15 Lunch at Woodz restaurant
15:00 – 17:00 Hike on nature trails with Hans (Options: take ‘Me’ time in and around the site or have a yoga therapy consult with Natasha, take a shorter walk in nature.)
17:30 – 18:45: Meeting lodge tent (vergaderlodge) Yoga (meditation, reflections, restorative yoga)
– Yin yoga and restorative practice – 40 mins (guided by Natasha).
– Bhavana (embodied feeling) with Ghatam (literally ‘hurt’) to release stuck and unwanted energies from body, what we are holding onto that does not belong to us. (Guided by Natasha).
19:15 – 20:30: Dinner at forest restaurant ‘Woodz’.
Retire to your private luxury wooden pod for the night.
Saturday
8:30 – 10:oo Yoga in lodge tent (vergaderlodge). Set intention. Hatha Flow for strength, stability and balance (Guided by Hans). Looking at compassionate boundary setting. Practice Sthimitam breathing (Guided by Natasha). Investigating our energetic space within. Write or draw insights in journal.
10:15 – 10:45/ 11:00 light breakfast on terrace of vergaderlodge.
11:15 – 13:00 Forest bathing (Shinrin Yoku) (depending on weather, can be moved to after lunch) with Natasha – taking a simple approach which ties in with our retreat focus of inner peace, letting go, and connection.
13:15 – 14:15 Lunch at Woodz restaurant
15:00 – 17:00 Hike on the forest trail with Hans (Options: take ‘Me’ time in and around the site or have a yoga therapy consult with Natasha, take a shorter walk in nature.)
17:30 – 18:45 Meeting lodge tent (vergaderlodge) Yoga (meditation, reflections, restorative yoga)
- Yin yoga and restorative practice – 40 mins (guided by Natasha)
- Integrating our practices so far. (Guided by Natasha).
19:15 – 20:30: Dinner at forest restaurant ‘Woodz’ (2-course dinner with vegetarian option)
Retire to your private luxury wooden pod for the night.
Sunday
8:30 – 10:oo Yoga in lodge tent (vergaderlodge) Morning yoga. Set intention. (Guided by Natasha) Gentle Flow Class with Natasha – integrating all we have practiced over the retreat.
10:15 – 10:45/ 11:00 more substantial breakfast at vergaderlodge.
Preparing to leave – tidy up – packing – checkout latest 13:00. Optional to check out and stay at the site longer, arrange lunch at the restaurant. Hans and Natasha depart around 13:00 (let us know if you need a lift to station and what time).
